Frequently asked questions
Short answers. For the walkthrough, see How to use. How to use.
What is Grad Recruit?
A workspace, not a job board. Search live graduate schemes, jobs, placements, internships and apprenticeships on Radar — or add a role you already found. One campaign per application, a personal coach powered by Grok, and you still apply on the employer’s site.
Do I apply through Grad Recruit?
No. Grad Recruit is the workspace where you find the opportunity and run the application. When you’re ready, you complete the form on the employer’s website.
Do I need an account?
No. You can browse Radar without registering. Create a free Basic account if you want to save opportunities, keep 8 stories, run 3 campaigns and get alerts on this device. Email is only a sign-in name — alerts go to this device.
What’s a campaign?
A campaign is your workspace for one application. It brings together the employer’s process, questions, your stories, CV, preparation and the outcome. On Pro, Ask Coach — powered by Grok — sits on every stage. It already knows you, this employer, this role, this step, your stories and CV.
What’s the Resource Centre?
Stories, Test gym, Video bank, CV Studio and Cover letters — in the left menu, not on the Guides page. Write once, attach the right piece on each campaign. Cover letter and video banks are Pro.
What’s the difference between Guest, Basic and Pro?
Guest can browse Radar. Basic is free with an account: 3 campaigns, 8 stories, alerts and 60 tests. Pro is £4.99 a month: unlimited campaigns, Ask Coach powered by Grok on every stage of the application you’re running, CV Studio, cover-letter bank, video interviews and 900+ tests. Campus Pro is the same as Pro if your university has a seat.
How does Coach usage work?
Pro includes 50 Coach asks a month. One tap is not always one ask — the cost follows the work. A short question uses 1. A written answer or listing review uses 1–2. A cover letter review uses 2–3. A first draft from Role + CV, or a CV rewrite, uses 3. Shorter / professional / casual restyle is free. Buttons show the cost before you confirm. You are only charged when Coach actually runs; a failed or local fallback is refunded. Extra packs stay until you spend them. Included asks reset on the 1st.
How do you keep listings up to date?
We recheck scheme windows and live vacancies every morning at 7am UK time, then a few more times during the day. Opening Radar does not trigger a recheck. The employer’s application page is always the final word.
Can I save cover letters?
On Pro, yes — in the Resource Centre (next to CV Studio), not on the Guides page. Create, rename, then attach a copy on a campaign. If you drop to Basic those copies stay listed but lock until you upgrade. On Basic you write or upload a letter on that campaign only. You still upload the file on the employer’s site.
If I add a role I found myself, do other people see it?
No. Add a role you found yourself is for Basic and Pro. It becomes a campaign on your account only. It is not added to Radar and other users cannot see it. Guest can browse Radar but cannot add a role.
Where is my data?
Stories, CVs, cover letters, drafts and applications live in this browser. If you sign in, they also save to your account so they follow you to another device. Email is only a sign-in name. Alerts go to this phone.
