How GradRecruit works

Find it. Prepare for it. Apply. Track it.

GradRecruit is the workspace around your application — not another job board.

Find live opportunities in Radar, save the ones you want to pursue, and manage each application from one place. Your Campaign brings together the employer’s process, deadlines, preparation and next steps, with Ask Coach there when you need help.

You apply directly on the employer’s site. GradRecruit keeps everything else organised around you.

Why people upgrade

Built for the whole application, not a list of pages

Radar finds the listing and links you to the employer’s page. Alert me pings your phone when a saved role opens. A reminder pings you when a campaign needs a look. A campaign runs the work. Pro adds Coach, video, CV Studio and the letter bank so you are not starting from a blank page.

Free to browseRadar that takes you to the actual jobOpen roles link to the employer’s own apply page. The UK board now includes hundreds more 2027 graduate schemes and internships. A role that isn’t open yet stays listed — tap Alert me and we’ll ping your phone the morning it opens. Vacancies are checked every day. If it isn’t listed, add it. My resources

Stories, tests, CV, letters and video — in one place

This is the Resources tab inside My applications, not the Guides page. Write a STAR story once. Sit a timed test. Keep the CV you actually send. On Pro, save a letter and a video take, then attach them on the next campaign.

The application, in order

  1. 01

Search roles — or add one you found

Start on Radar, or save a role from the employer’s own page, LinkedIn or Indeed. Adding a role is Basic and Pro, and it stays on your account only. GradRecruit runs the campaign either way.

  2. 02

    Save it, or add it

If it is on Radar, save it. If it is not, add the employer, title and apply page. Both create a campaign in My applications — Dashboard, the stage line, and the same kit for stories, tests, interviews and outcome.

  3. 03

    Prepare your application

Start with the employer’s questions. Use Stories to build examples from your experience, then choose the ones that best answer each question. Keep a CV on the campaign, and a cover letter if they ask. A personal coach, powered by Grok (Pro), sits on every stage — it already knows you, this employer, the role you pasted, this step, your stories and CV. A verdict and a next action, not a stock letter. Coach asks are weighted — a short question uses 1 of the monthly 50, a letter or CV uses 2–3.

  4. 04

    Practise the next stage

Some applications include online tests, video interviews or assessment centres. Your campaign shows you what to prepare for, so you can practise before you get there.

  5. 05

    Submit your application

When you’re ready, complete it on the employer’s website. You stay in control of what you submit. Tap I applied after you have sent the form.

  6. 06

    Keep track

Update your campaign when you hear back. Offer, rejection, withdrawn or still waiting — the work you’ve done can help with the next application.

What actually improves your chances

  • Read the employer’s page before you save. Always check the application page before you submit. Windows move, and some employers close as soon as they have enough applications.
  • One campaign per opportunity. Save it once. Prepare, practise and keep the outcome on that record. Don’t start a second campaign for the same role.
  • Write the story before you write the form. If you don’t already have what happened, what you did and what changed, the form will fill with vague language.
  • Don’t log Applied until you’ve sent the form. I applied is a record of a form you submitted on the employer’s site. You can still draft and practise before that.
  • Read Coach before you paste. Coach sits on this campaign — you, this employer, this role, this stage, your stories and CV. It will not invent a job. Do not paste a reply unchanged — edit it so it sounds like you. If a suggestion is weaker than what you wrote, keep yours. Recruiters notice generic AI copy. Asks are weighted: a short question uses 1 of the monthly 50, a cover letter or CV uses 2–3. You still send the form on the employer’s site.

Common mistakes

  • Thinking you must tap I applied before you can draft or practise. Save, then work the stages. Log applied after you submit.
  • Logging Applied when you only opened the careers site.
  • Writing 300 words for a box that caps at 200.
  • Reusing the same closing paragraph across employers.
  • Trying to draft, test and interview from Radar. That work lives on the campaign.
  • Pasting a Coach rewrite without reading it. If the sentences do not sound like you, keep your draft.

How Coach usage is counted

Pro includes 50 Coach asks a month. One tap is not always one ask — the cost follows the work. A short question uses 1. A written answer or listing review uses 1–2. A cover letter review uses 2–3. A first draft from Role + CV, or a CV rewrite, uses 3. Shorter / professional / casual restyle is free. Buttons show the cost before you confirm. You are only charged when Coach actually runs; a failed or local fallback is refunded. Extra packs stay until you spend them. Included asks reset on the 1st.

Paying for Pro

Add a card on Get Pro. Stripe charges £4.99 each month unless you cancel in Account before the billing date. There is no free first month. If you drop to Basic, your first three campaigns and first eight stories stay open; extras lock until Pro. Coach and video recording end. Coach asks are weighted — a short question uses 1 of the monthly 50, a cover letter or CV uses 2–3. Extra credit packs are a one-off if you run out before the 1st.

Careers services at universities and colleges: Radar is free for students. A campus deal is agreed with each institution. Campus Pro can sit under that deal — students should ask their careers service. For careers services.
