Grad Recruit Ltd (“we”, “us”) provides Grad Recruit. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Grad Recruit Ltd is the data controller. We are registered in England and Wales. Registered office: London, United Kingdom. Contact: Contact us or hello@gradrecruit.co.uk.
The service
Grad Recruit is a workspace, not a job board. Find it. Apply for it. Get it. You search live graduate roles on Radar, or add a role you already found. You run that employer’s application here. You always finish and send the form on the employer’s own site. We are not a recruitment agency and we do not make offers.
What we collect
- Account details if you register: name, email (sign-in name only), password hash, and a mobile number if you give one for device alerts. - Profile you choose to save: stage, streams, locations, eligibility notes. - Application work: stories, drafts, CVs, cover letters, campaigns, shortlists, test and video practice on this device or, if you are signed in, on your account. - Device alerts and, if you allow them, a web-push subscription for this browser. - Messages you send through Contact or the careers-services form. - Anonymous usage (pages opened, feature taps, referrer). Not your name, stories or answers. Turn it off in Account, settings, or the cookie policy. - Payment details are taken by Stripe if you start Pro. We do not store card numbers.
Guests keep work in this browser only. We do not require an account to browse Radar.
What we do not collect or do
- We do not sell candidate lists or “talent intelligence” to employers. - We do not submit applications for you, and we do not send your answers to employers. - Transactional email: confirmation and password codes, a welcome message, and — if you turn them on in Account — matching-role and open-window reminder emails. You can switch those alerts off at any time. - Optional Grad Recruit news (product updates and new windows) only if you opt in. Change that on Account. We do not buy or sell marketing lists. - Matching-role alerts also go to this device if you allow notifications. Codes expire; we never ask you to read a code out. - If you write to us through Contact, we send an acknowledgement to the address you gave and we may reply from hello@gradrecruit.co.uk. - If you register with a university or college email on a campus deal, we send a confirmation link to that inbox so we know the address is yours. - We are not paid by employers to list or promote schemes.
Why we use it (lawful bases)
- Contract — to provide the workspace you asked for: Radar, campaigns, stories, CVs, cover letters, Coach, tests, video, and Pro if you subscribe. - Legitimate interests — to keep listings accurate, keep the service secure, understand which pages are used (anonymous analytics), and improve Radar. - Consent — device notifications and web push, only after you allow them. Optional Grad Recruit news emails, only if you tick that box when you register or later in Account. You can withdraw either at any time. - Legal obligation — tax and accounting records for Pro payments, handled with Stripe.
Where it is stored
Signed-in accounts and campaigns are stored in the United Kingdom / European Economic Area on our database host (Neon Postgres). Guest work stays in your browser until you register or clear it. Stripe processes payments. Push delivery uses the browser vendor (Apple, Google or Mozilla) if you turned alerts on. If you use Ask Coach (Pro), the text you choose to send is processed by xAI to generate a suggestion — see Data protection.
How long we keep it
Account and campaign data while the account is open, then deleted on request or after a period of inactivity. Anonymous analytics older than 90 days are dropped. Stripe retains payment records to their legal period. Contact messages are kept so we can deal with the query, then removed when no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, corrections, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability. To exercise those rights, use Contact us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
